About HSI Systems


HSI Systems (HSI) is a Union Iron Works (Union Iron) brand of galvanized bucket elevators, chain conveyors and structural equipment.  These products target large farms, small commercial facilities and international markets in capacities up to 10,000 BPH.

HSI dates back to the 1940’s when Royce Huss and Jerry Schlieper began manufacturing grain handling equipment in Decatur, IL.

HSI became a well know name in the commercial grain handling and processing industries and in 2001, Union Iron purchased the complete HSI product line. Since then, Union Iron has continued to market distributors and gravity screeners under the HSI brand.

Union Iron Works (Union Iron) manufactures a line of commercial grain-handling and storage equipment, including open-belt conveyors, bucket elevators, chain conveyors, truck probes, towers and trusses, distributors, facility load-out equipment and temporary grain storage systems. 

Established in 1852, Union Iron was acquired in 2007 by Ag Growth International (AGI), a leading manufacturer of portable and stationary grain-handling, storage and conditioning equipment. 

In addition to Union Iron, AGI's corporate divisions include: Batco Manufacturing, Wheatheart Manufacturing, Westfield Industries, Edwards Group, Hi Roller, Twister and Applegate Livestock Equipment.

Established in 1996, Ag Growth International (AGI) is a leading manufacturer of portable and stationary grain-handling, storage and conditioning equipment including augers, belt conveyors, grain storage bins, grain-handling accessories and grain aeration equipment. AGI's sales, marketing and distribution system is comprised of approximately 1,400 dealers and distributors that distribute product in forty-eight states, nine provinces, and overseas.
